The “Why” Behind Your Blog’s Name
You may not have noticed, but I made a slight adjustment to the header:
Why “Zero and Up”?
Zero and Up applies to many aspects of blogging: your visitors, subscribers, earnings, etc. No matter where you are with your blog, there’s always room for improvement. Hopefully, Zero and Up will be a resource to help you take your websites upward, even if it’s all the way from zero!
I hadn’t thought about it much until last night, but the reason for my title might not be obvious to everyone. Of course it’s obvious to me; I made up the title! Nonetheless, I believe that if people know why your blog has it’s name, it will be more memorable. Being memorable is an important aspect to branding your blog into people’s minds.
I’d be interested to hear what the story is behind the name of your blog. How and why did you come up with that name? Later this week, I’ll feature some of the comments from this post, so be sure and respond. ![]()

I’m embarrassed to say that I did not make up the name of my blog. A friend gave me my hosting package last year for my birthday and she thought up my domain name for me. I like it and it has stuck. Kinda pathetic, huh?

Hi,
My blog is titled Mature Not Senile and for obvious reasons I didn’t use “Old” even if I feel like a 100 some days. Even though I accept the aging process I don’t like the words “old lady.” Mature lady sounds much better and regardless of the way young people view the older generation it doesn’t mean we are all senile. Okay so I forget things occasionally, but that’s so I can have space in my brain to add new information. Have a great morning.

I had help choosing my name, “Healthy Home Blog,” but it really fits me. I’m trying more and more to make healthy choices in eating & lifestyle because I believe that so many health problems, from major issues all the way to PMS, are affected by the choices we make. And I love taking care of my family (it works both ways, we help each other), so the home part fits like a glove. I hope that things I’ve learned along the way can benefit some people, and I like learning things from other bloggers, too.
PS I appreciate Zero and Up. I’m learning things to help me be a better blogger!

I’m really unimaginative when it comes to naming my blogs. Most of the time I’m the only one who gets it
One of my blog’s name is Found Not Lost
It’s a play on “lost & found”. Because the things that I “find” and blog about are not necessarily “lost”. Get it? See, I told you I’m the only one who gets it most of the time. lol!
