Why "Zero and Up"?
Zero and Up applies to many aspects of blogging: your visitors, subscribers, earnings, etc. No matter where you are with your blog, there's always room for improvement. Hopefully, Zero and Up will be a resource to help you take your websites upward, even if it's all the way from zero!

The Get Rich Quick Scam

There are tons of “Get Rich Quick” scams all over the internet. Here are a few tips to tell right off the bat if something is a scam.

There’s A Guarantee To Get Rich
If they are guaranteeing you that you’ll make $xx,xxx+ amount of dollars, it’s almost certain that you’re looking at a scam. Scammers aren’t usually interested in accurately representing their earning potential - they’re more interested in getting you  to buy into their system so that they can make a quick buck.

They Promise To Tell You A Secret No One Else Knows
It’s sad but true - good secrets don’t stay secrets for long once they’ve been sold. If there truly was some secret that allowed people to earn money without any hard work (at least initially) then everyone would be doing it. It’s highly unlikely that some small website has this life-changing secret. Even if they did have the secret, why would it be worth it to them to sell it to other people?

They Promise Automated Earnings With No Work
It’s really not possible to get rich off of no work. Automated earnings are possible through the internet, but you’re really going to need to build them yourself. Think about it, if there were an automated way to earn money that was available to everyone, it would lose it’s potency. Don’t fall for the “no work required” gimmick, it’s simply not true.

The majority of those “get rich quick” websites only work for the owner of the website, while everyone else just tries to pull people into the gimmick so they can earn the commission. (Most get rich quick websites involve selling the membership for commission)

In my opinion, it’s best to avoid those get rich quick websites all together. Of course, I may be mistaken. Are there any of you who have gotten rich off of one of those websites? :)

    Alan,

It’s unfortunate but a lot of people fall for the scams. I hope people see your article and really think before they buy!

To make money online is a large percentage of today’s population goal in the recession that is upon us. Small business owners and most major companies are looking to make money online too. With webhosting ranging from 6.95 to 20 dollars per month start up cost and monthly fees are far less than running a brick and mortar business.

Homebizseo - you either misread my post, or you just felt like making a random comment, or you’re a relatively smart bot. :P

Techstuff - Thanks, but do be a little more specific in your comments (That comment could apply to any post) Of course, you could possible be a bot as well ;)

Sabrina - Yay, I’m actually 100% sure you aren’t a bot :) But yeah, people need to at least search the “opportunity” on google first to find out if it’s a scam or not.
