I Restrain From Blogging On April Fool’s Day
I’ll make this short and sweet.
Typically, I don’t post much if anything on April Fool’s day. The joking nature of the day is fun at first, but it gets tiring; I tend to be very mistrusting by the end of the day. Anything I read or hear on that day could be some April Fool’s day joke or gag.
What is my advice?
Don’t Blog Anything Important On April Fool’s Day
You may have an awesome idea or have experienced something really weird or cool that you’d like to share with your readers. If your readers know you really well, they might trust you enough to know that you wouldn’t pull a prank like that, but they might not as well. Even big companies like Google pull off yearly April Fool’s day jokes, so it’s seen as something acceptable even at some of the most serious and professional websites.
Because even the hint of weirdness in your post could trigger the joke alert for your readers, I believe that your best bet is to save anything really important for the next day - people will be much more trusting of you then! ![]()
