I wasn’t expecting this at all, but today I got a neat gift pack from IZEA in celebration of Cinco De Mayo. In case you can’t tell from the picture, they sent a maraca, a miniature piñata, some jelly beans, some mints, a red chili pepper necklace, a cactus pen and finger puppet, and a nice card.

I think that the customer relations department over at IZEA really has something going good. It may not seem like much, but getting this box in the mail today was a nice surprise after a long and tiring day. Things like these really help boost the image of a company.

As much as I like IZEA, the opp system at Social Spark is still a bit annoying to me. Hopefully they’ll take some of the suggestions put forth by myself and other “posties” to make the opp reservation system a little more clear and straightforward. Even now, it’s still very unclear if you’ll actually ever be assigned an opp that you reserve, you just get placed in a line - and you have no idea how close to the front of that line you are, or if you are even close enough to have a chance of getting accepted to take the opportunity. It’s a bit frustrating, but I do think once they clear that up they’ll have an awesome system on their hands.
